Kevin Chapman
Kevin Chapman was born into a family of artists. His Father attended art school and was a wonderful painter and window displayer. He taught Kevin all he knew about art from an early age.
In school, Kevin would spend most of his time in the classroom doodling and drawing and he knew he was an artist by the age of 10 years old. All the children at his school thought that he was really good and would always ask him to draw something for them.
Kevin started painting with watercolors at the age of 10, and acrylic paintings followed later in his life. Kevin would go backpacking with his family and they would take their paintings along and critique each others paintings, which was a valuable lesson for him.
Many of his paintings are painted with an impressionistic flair, using a full spectrum of complimentary colors with an eye towards beauty and imagination.
Jackie Chapman
Jackie Chapman is the talented jewelry crafter behind The Panited Gem's unique wire-wrapped crystal creations. Born in Brooklyn alongside her twin sister Marcia and older sister Rita, Jackie's creative journey began early in life.
When she was 13, the family moved to California, where Jackie's passion for creative arts and crafts truly blossomed. She always had a natural affinity for creating beautiful things with her hands.
At 20 years old, Jackie met Kevin Chapman—remarkably, even though they had attended high school together! Their shared love for art and creativity formed the foundation of their partnership, both in life and in creating beautiful works.
Every piece of jewelry Jackie creates is meticulously handcrafted, combining carefully selected gemstones with artistic wire-wrapping techniques to create wearable art that's truly one-of-a-kind.
